Alternative Investment Management Association Representing the global hedge fund industry

AIMA's New 'One Stop Shop' Website for Hedge Fund Industry

23 October 2008

The Alternative Investment Management Association (AIMA), the leading global representative association for the hedge fund industry, has announced the launch of its new and improved website.

The re-engineered site has been structured with specific areas for members, investors, policy makers, regulators and tax authorities, and the media. The website provides these groups with information tailored to their specific needs and includes research resources on a wide range of subjects relevant to the industry.

A substantial increase in interest in the hedge fund industry has triggered a notable upgrade to AIMA’s online services.

Key features of the new website include:

  • the AIMA Knowledge Centre, with sections dedicated to education, policy, regulation & Tax, and sound practices;
  • a resource giving information on the regulatory and taxation positions in a number of hedge fund jurisdictions;
  • information on services for those wishing to establish a hedge fund business; and
  • a media centre containing AIMA’s press releases and published articles.

Emma Mugridge, Director, AIMA, said, “It is one of AIMA’s strategic objectives to become a hub for non-commercial information about the industry. Having represented the hedge fund industry for the past 18 years, we understand various stakeholder groups’ requirements and have been keen to meet their needs in the most effective way possible.

We are particularly pleased to be able to provide helpful information about aspects of the industry to policy makers and regulatory authorities through the website.”
