AIMA

On 7 December 2011, the European Commission proposed new legislation to harmonise the laws pertaining to the managers of venture capital funds outside the scope of the AIFMD, so they can easily raise capital across the whole of Europe and better invest in European SMEs. Instead of having to comply with 27 national laws, they are proposed to be subject to a single and simplified passport regime.
