Alternative Investment Management Association Representing the global hedge fund industry
AIMA covers a range of policy and regulatory issues related to asset managers and funds, globally, where they are implementing a hedge fund strategy. These focus mainly on the requirements imposed on asset managers in relation to their authorisation, registration or licensing as well as different operating conditions imposed in various jurisdictions.
The Asset Management Regulation team also focuses on broader issues such as corporate governance, conflicts of interest and whether and to what extent managers can pose a threat to financial stability and therefore should be subject to supplemental regulation.
The Asset Management Regulation team reports to Jiří Król as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Head of Government & Regulatory Affairs at AIMA and consists of Jennifer Wood (Director, Head of Asset Management Regulation) and Anna Berdinner (Regulatory Analyst).
The Asset Management Regulation team is assisted in its work by the Asset Management Standing Committee and a series of working groups focused on specific topic areas.
If you identify any policy or regulatory matters which you think AIMA should be addressing but is not, please send your suggestions to the Asset Management Regulation team and they will be raised for consideration by the Asset Management Standing Committee.
