Fund Manager Code of Conduct - What You Need to Know to Prepare

This session will focus on the SFC’s proposed changes to the Fund Manager Code of Conduct as reflected in its November 2016 Consultation Paper on Proposals to Enhance Asset Management Regulation and Point of Sale Transparency.  These changes will impact all Type-9 (asset management) licensed fund managers in a number of material ways, and many will represent a significant departure from the SFC’s historical approach to the oversight of private funds managed from Hong Kong.  We will provide an overview of the proposed amendments and address the practical implications of these changes  for Hong Kong based managers.
