AIMA joined with Dominic Graham (Director, Financial Services Advisory, Deloitte), Lauren Masson (Senior Manager, Investment Management Audit, Deloitte) and Adele Rentsch (Associate, Markets Regulation, AIMA)  for a webinar on 25 April 14.00 BST, 15.00 CEST and 9.00 EDT to support members in taking a running start on your implementation of the UK Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR), due to apply in 2018. Bringing their experience from implementation in the banking sector, Deloitte focused on what firms can already be doing to prepare for the new regime, looking in particular at:

• How to set up your implementation project
• How to start the process of identifying your senior managers, potentially including individuals based overseas
• The steps you can already take with respect to updating internal processes and procedures in anticipation on the incoming certification regime

Please note, the session did not provide a detailed overview of the regime (see AIMA's member summary) and specifically focused on practical aspects of implementation.
