UK Private Fund Limited Partnerships Order introduced

Published: 10 April 2017

The UK Limited Partnerships Act 1907 has been amended to introduce a new type of limited partnership, namely the private fund limited partnership. The Legislative Reform (Private Fund Limited Partnerships) Order 2017 came into force on 6 April 2017 and aims to reduce some of the administrative burdens on private funds. This change brings the limited partnership structure in line with similar investment vehicles in other jurisdictions around the world and will help the UK remains an attractive environment for these types of fund.  If you have any questions in relation to this, please contact Nick Smith.
