AIMA Australia Manager Only Seminar: Broker Evaluation and Commission Payments

Australia

AIMA is pleased to invite you to our upcoming forum to be held from 8.15am on Friday May 10th at IHS Markit’s Sydney office. Please note that this session is a manager only session.

This session will explore regulatory change and best practices impacting Australian fund managers conducting formal broker evaluation and managing budgets for research and execution.

Evolving market practices, investor demand and global regulations including MiFID II, have increased scrutiny over how asset managers pay for services. Compliance requirements have led to the unbundling or separation of trade execution and investment research commissions. Given the shift in payment models, investment professionals need to evaluate the quality of their counterparties and determine how to compensate for services appropriately.

Guest Speakers:
Todd Prado - Colonial First State Global Asset Management, Head of equities dealing
Eric Menzie – IHS Markit, Global Product Head, Evaluation
James Paull  – Deloitte, Manager, Investment & Wealth Advisory
Francis Land – IHS Markit, Product Specialist, Research Evaluation Solutions
