This session will discuss Initial Margin and how this will shortly impact buyside entities including hedge funds and investment funds. We will cover some of the legal background to Initial Margin; focus on the lessons learned from earlier phases; and set out what you need to do to be ready for these changes.

          

In particular we will cover the regulatory backdrop to the Initial Margin requirements from a HK, EU and US perspective before turning to consider the steps that need to be taken in preparing for Initial Margin. We will focus on documents that will need to be put in place and key points that arise in the negotiation of such documents.
