Managing Director & Head of Global Equity Client Management, Scotiabank Global Banking and Markets
Lauren Malafronte is a Managing Director in Global Equities where she is responsible for Client Management. Lauren joined the bank in 2013 to focus on growing the client base for Prime Services and enhancing the overall client experience. In 2019, she launched a cross-sell program across GCM in the U.S.. In 2021, Lauren’s role was expanded to assist in managing client relationships across the suite of Equity products with an effort to deepen client relationships globally.
Prior to joining the bank, Lauren held various roles in Prime Services at several firms including the Head of Client Service for Prime Services, Prime Brokerage Sales and Securities Lending sales/trader.
Lauren is Chair Emeritus of the Board of Directors of 100 Women in Finance, a global association of over 30,000 professionals in the financial industry. She continues to work with the organization on its pre-career initiative by partnering with various colleges and universities and sits on the DE&I award committee. She was the in-augural co-chair of the Education Committee for Scotiabank’s Women Initiative (SWI) and is an active member on SWAG, Scotiabank’s Women Advocacy Group.
Lauren received a BBA in Computer Information Systems and an MBA in Finance from Baruch College. She is the proud mother of two amazing daughters, one of who recently graduated from the US Naval Academy and was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U. S. Marine Corps and the other is an world traveler and entrepreneur.
