Principal Associate, Eversheds Sutherland
Phil advises on investment fund structures, domestic and European regulatory initiatives and commercial agreements. He routinely deals with all matters associated with the establishment, operation and rationalisation of open-ended funds and is recognised by the Legal500 as a 'Next Generation Lawyer'. He provides regulatory and commercial advice to international asset managers and investment banks on topics including the preparation of investor disclosure documents, regulatory applications and fund service agreements. This work increasingly sees him advising on the implementation of forthcoming regulatory initiatives such as MiFID II and PRIIPs - where he has advised European and US clients. Phil’s private practice experience has been supplemented by a series of industry secondments including a role with the Financial Conduct Authority. As well as his touchpoints with the Regulator, Phil maintains a substantial network and acts as an expert advisor to industry working groups.
