Experience/Specialization

Lexie leads the FINEX Financial Institutions line of business for Canada within Willis Towers Watson’s Corporate Risk and Broking segment. This team provides Financial Lines and Property and Casualty (P&C) advice and placement services to financial institutions across the region, including banks, alternative lending firms, insurance companies, asset managers, REITs, FinTech companies and corporate service providers. Canada FINEX Financial Institutions is part of a global business that is comprised of client advisors, placement specialists, operational risk consultants, manuscript wordings experts and claims advocates, all of whom are dedicated to serving the needs of financial institutions.  Lexie is a nationally-recognized expert in the field of Directors & Officers (D&O) liability, risk and insurance.

Prior to joining Willis Towers Watson in 2019, Lexie was a Managing Director at Marsh Canada Limited where she led Marsh’s Financial and Professional Services (FINPRO) Claims Advocacy Practice for Canada and was appointed Professional Services Industry Practice leader for Canada.  She is a past member to Marsh’s Global D&O Advisory Board and Global Errors & Omissions (E&O) Advisory Board, which were developed to raise the bar for excellence in the D&O and E&O fields.  Lexie was also a leader of diversity and inclusion at Marsh, where she led its Women’s Talent Initiative, assigned with a mandate to accelerate the promotion and development of women into senior roles, and was an executive sponsor and co-chair of its Women’s Exchange Colleague Resource Group.  Prior to joining Marsh in 2003, she was a practicing insurance defense litigation lawyer. 

Education and Credentials

Lexie holds a BA Cum Laude from Mount Holyoke College and a JD from Tulane Law School.  She attended the University of Toronto Faculty of Law to obtain her Canadian Legal Accreditation and is admitted to practice law in the Province of Ontario.  She also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.

Lexie is a frequent speaker on risk and insurance to companies and senior executives across Canada. For over 10 years, Lexie facilitated the module on D&O Insurance and Indemnification at the Directors Education Program sponsored by the Institute of Corporate Directors at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and other leading business schools in Canada.

Lexie co-chairs Willis Tower’s Watson’s Gender Equity Network in North America and sits on the firm’s Inclusion and Diversity Council.
