Bess is a Director at Impactive Associates and has nearly two decades’ experience working in corporate governance and stewardship. She has held senior roles on both the institutional investor side – at Hermes and TIAA-CREF – and the corporate side, having led the corporate governance silo for Goldman Sachs’ Investor Relations team during the immediate aftermath of the financial crisis. Bess hails originally from Toronto and she is a qualified Canadian lawyer.
