With more than 25 years of experience in the Canadian financial industry, Paul Stapleton brings an innovative approach and a pioneering attitude to Fidelity Clearing Canada (FCC) as our Chief Technology Officer.
Paul manages FCC’s evolving technology strategy and continuous development of uniFide™, our fully integrated digital services platform. Paul and his integration team focus on the seamless implementation and delivery of new services and solutions to our clients ensuring technical alignment between our digital platforms and our clients’ technology requirements.
Paul is a recognized innovator in the Canadian blockchain, cryptocurrency, and digital assets landscape. With a deep understanding of the regulatory space as well as the needs of Canadian wealth management professionals and investors, he frequently lends his expertise to the industry at speaking events and conferences. He is an active participant on the IIROC Crypto-Asset Working Group.
Prior to joining FCC in 2017, Paul served as SVP, Information Technology, for investment dealer Dundee Securities, and as VP, Information Technology, for merchant banking firm Dundee Corporation. He graduated from Trinity College in the University of Toronto.
