Associate, BLG
Cindy is a financial services regulatory associate at BLG. She regularly supports clients in the financial services industry with respect to a variety of legislative and regulatory matters, with a focus in banking, fintech, payment processing, and advice that includes extensive knowledge in anti-money laundering/anti-terrorist financing, cost of borrowing and consumer protection. This includes advising clients on existing and new products or services that involve payments, credit and debit cards, consumer lending, AML and ATF.
Cindy is an advisor to the Board of the Open Banking Initiative Canada, serves on the Canadian CIO Strategy Council’s Expert Drafting Technical Committee for Open Finance and Open Banking, and is a director on the Board of the Toronto Concert Orchestra. She regularly speaks on financial services regulatory matters. This includes moderating and speaking at recent stakeholder roundtables focused on industry movements in open banking and finance. Cindy is also returning as faculty for The Osgoode Certificate in Blockchain Law on central bank digital currencies in the fall of 2022.
