Principal, TJO Management
Terrance J. O’Malley is the principal of TJO Management, a boutique consulting firm where he is a “first call” for discrete troubleshooting and serves as a client sounding board. Throughout his 25-year career, Terrance has served firms as both a trusted outside adviser and as a key in-house executive.
Terrance has been a partner at some of the industry’s top international law firms, including Schulte Roth & Zabel and Fried Frank. He also spent nearly ten years as a senior executive at Blue Ridge Capital, a hedge fund firm that managed over $9 billion at its peak. In addition, he has held multiple leadership positions at industry associations and associated committees.
Terrance has authored or co-authored three books and dozens of articles addressing the operational side of the private fund business. He also produces the weekly Operational Leaders podcast featuring top industry executives discussing the business of running an alternative investment firm. Terrance graduated from Boston College and Cornell Law School, and began his professional career as an enforcement attorney with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
