Vice-President, Quantitative Strategies and Data Science, CDPQ
With over 15 years of professional experience in digital technologies and quantitative investing, Jean-François Berubé held various leadership roles at Hexavest and Desjardins Global Asset Management before joining CDPQ in January 2022.
As Vice President, Quantitative Strategies and Data Science, Jean-François is responsible for the development and management of systematic and quantitative investment strategies. He is also responsible for pre- and post-investment analytics on CDPQ's liquid and illiquid portfolio holdings. Finally, he is responsible for accelerating and expanding the integration of data science into the organization's investment processes.
Jean-François holds a Ph.D. and an M.Sc. in Computer Science, as well as an M.Sc. and a B.Sc. in Economics from the Université de Montréal. Jean-François was also a quantitative analyst at CDPQ from 2007 to 2009 and a research professional at CIRANO from 2000 to 2003.
