Peter is British, and was educated at the University of Exeter and INSEAD, France.
After starting his career with the F&C Group (now BMO Asset Management) in 1985, he joined Aberdeen Asset Management ( now Abrdn) in 1995, and founded Asia’s first hedge fund research firm, GFIA pte ltd, in Singapore in 1998. Peter is the representative director of kk Nozawa Hospitality, a hospitality and real estate company. He is a non-executive director of Teneo Partners kk.
Peter was a founder of the Financial Planning Association of Singapore. He founded and was the inaugural chairman of AIMA Singapore and was a director of AIMA from 2000-2010. He was the first CAIA Charterholder in Asia, founded the CAIA Singapore Chapter, was a director of the CAIA Association from 2006 to 2014, and a director of the CAIA Foundation from 2017 to 2021.
Peter lives with his wife in Nozawa Onsen, Nagano Prefecture, Japan.
