In his most recent role at Grayhawk Wealth, Greg serves as Chief Investment Officer where he leads the investment process across the firm, orchestrates the activities of the Investment Advisory Committee and identifies investment opportunities that maximize value for investors. He integrated and applied his deep knowledge of machine learning to develop unique and leading-edge approaches to assessing investment opportunities and constructing investment solutions focusing on all major asset classes in public and private markets. In this role, He also served as the portfolio manager across individual investment portfolios covering public market equities and fixed income, and alternative solutions covering hedge funds, private equity, and private credit.
Greg has been working in the investment management industry for over 26 years. Prior to joining Grayhawk, Greg spent over 8 years within the asset management arm of a major Canadian bank playing a significant role in building their global equity investment capabilities. Greg participated in the bank’s development of their systematic approach to managing equity and multi-asset fund of ETF strategies. More recently, Greg oversaw portfolio management and quantitative research for the bank’s multi-asset strategies.
Greg began his career as a portfolio manager and investment strategist in the US and Japanese equity markets for a large US-based institutional investor. After co-managing their US active quantitative investment funds, he went on to work on the development and launch of an internal hedge fund. Greg then moved overseas to spend nearly 10 years managing investment teams and trading desks in Tokyo, Japan. He was a founding partner in a multi-strategy hedge fund, built a quantitative strategy team for a large US bank, and managed the risk trading desk for another large US bank.
