Atiya heads the credit function, overseas portfolio management and is a voting member of the Investment Committee. Atiya has over 25 years of through the cycle lending experience in debt capital markets, structured finance and private equity across Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa. She has advised both large listed corporates and mid-cap private companies on capital structuring and led their debt deals for acquisition, project and property financing, hybrid capital, leverage and structured finance. Previously she ran the multibillion International Debt business at Barclays (UK) with her team originating, structuring and risk managing clients across 20 markets. She was a voting member of the Underwriting Committee, Capital Allocation Committee and Debt Exco at Barclays. Prior to Barclays, she led Standard Chartered to the top of league tables across South Asia, the Middle East and Africa for syndicated lending. She has been a board member of various companies. Atiya holds a MSc – International Accounting & Finance, from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a MBA – Major in Finance – IBA, from the University of Karachi – Pakistan.
