Bruno Vilone

Director, Investment Products Oversight (Autorité des marchés financiers) (AMF)

Bruno Vilone serves as Director, Investment Products Oversight for Québec’s Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF). Bruno joined the AMF in 2016 and has held his current position since 2023.

Bruno’s team lead a variety of projects related to the regulation of investment products and fintech, including investment funds. Bruno and his team work closely with other members of the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA), contributing to initiatives that shape the regulatory landscape for investment products and emerging technologies. His team is also responsible for the AMF’s operational activities related to investment products, including handling applications for regulatory exemptions.

Bruno sits on the CSA Investment Funds Steering Committee, the CSA Financial Innovation Hub Steering Committee and the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ Fintech Task Force.

Bruno holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance from Concordia University, as well as a Bachelor of Laws and a Juris Doctor in Common Law from the Université de Montréal. He is a member of the Québec Bar.
