Dr. Christopher R. Kaminker

Head of Sustainable Investment Research and Strategy, Lombard Odier Investment Managers

Dr. Christopher R. Kaminker is head of sustainable investment research and strategy at Lombard Odier Investment Managers (LOIM). He joined the firm in 2019 having previously worked at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) as head of sustainable finance research and as senior advisor in capital markets. An experienced practitioner and author of over 30 publications and several books on sustainable finance and investment, he has held responsibilities for producing and overseeing cross-asset research and strategy on the topic and advising investors, corporates and sovereigns on investment opportunities and risk management. His experience has also focused on originating and structuring sustainability financing solutions for clients across the capital spectrum. He worked on over 60 sustainable bond deals while at SEB with a total deal value of USD 22 billion (including multiple award-winning trades), and his research on sustainable bonds was ranked #1 in the Nordics by investors (Prospera). Prior to joining SEB, he was the lead economist and policy advisor for sustainable finance at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). During his tenure, he represented the OECD as delegate to the G20 and Financial Stability Board (Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures). Prior to his appointment at the OECD in 2010, Dr. Kaminker worked at Société Générale CIB and Goldman Sachs in New York. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, as well as a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, and represented SEB on the Executive Committee of the Green Bond Principles. He received his doctorate from the University of Oxford, where he wrote his thesis under Professor Gordon L. Clark, and graduated from the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University.
