Fred Pinto is CEO of CFA Society Toronto, the largest Society of charterholders globally with over
11,000 members. In close partnership with the Board of Directors, Fred is responsible for CFA
Society Toronto’s overall direction and in implementing the strategic plan. Core to this mandate
is delivering outstanding member value, promoting high ethical standards in the investment
industry and increasing the visibility of the role of investment and financial industry
professionals across multiple stakeholder groups, including, employers, other industry
associations, government and regulatory organizations.

Prior to assuming this role, Fred led two Canadian-based asset management organizations
whose core investment philosophy was anchored in Sustainable Investing.
He has senior executive experience in all facets of the asset management business including
investment manager research, sales and distribution and product development.

Fred is a CFA Charterholder and is a Past Chair of the Board of CFA Society Toronto. He also sits
on the Board of Directors for the Oakville Community Foundation and is Chair of its Investment
Committee. In addition, he is a member of the Research Advisory Council for the Institute of
Sustainable Finance at the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. Most recently, he
was invited to join the Canadian Advisory Council for Rock The Street Wall Street, an
organization dedicated to bringing financial and investment mathematics to secondary school
girls across 25 cities in the US, UK, and Canada.

Fred holds a BA (Honours) from the University of Toronto and an MBA from the Richard Ivey
School of Business at Western University and completed the ICD-Rotman Directors Education
Program and received his ICD.D designation.
