Thomas is managing associate at international law firm Simmons & Simmons. He specialises in providing advice to asset managers, particularly in relation to the establishment, structuring, restructuring and maintenance of investment funds across the globe. He advises some of the world’s largest and well-known investment managers across a variety of fund structures.
Thomas has recently been involved in the launch of a broad range of start-up managers both in terms of size and asset class, including some of the most-high profile launches in recent years. He has also been involved in negotiating a number of seed deals both on the side of managers and seeders, so has a broad perspective on the key legal and commercial issues involved in these arrangements.
