Deputy Director, Green Finance and Prudential, HM Treasury
Fayyaz is the Deputy Director for Green Finance and Prudential Policy in the Financial Services Group of HM Treasury. His team is responsible for the regulatory framework for green finance, including sustainability-related disclosures, the UK Green Taxonomy and the Transition Plan Taskforce, as well as Basel 3.1 and the Securitisation Regulation. Fayyaz has been at the Treasury since 2012, and has worked across a range of areas including telecoms, business lending and climate change.
