Mariko is a Founding Partner at Keigant Advisors Limited, an external fund directorship and outsourced COO services company based in Hong Kong. She was Chief Operating Officer for over 15 years at various alternative investment and wealth management firms, where she was responsible for overall business management and operations for the firms, including legal and regulatory compliance, middle and back office operations, finance and accounting, risk management, infrastructure and human resources.
Prior to founding Keigant Advisors, Mariko was a Senior Partner at Centuriam Limited, a Type 1, 4 and 9 SFC licensed multi-family office / wealth management firm focusing on serving ultra-high net worth clients. Prior to that, she spent 9 years as APAC COO at Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, a multi-billion internal equity long-short hedge fund unit of Goldman Sachs, followed by 5 years at Wei Capital Management Limited, a Hong
Kong based Type 9 asset manager as COO, Manager-in-Charge, and Responsible Officer. Mariko started her career at Goldman Sachs in Tokyo, where she played an integral role in transforming the proprietary investment business in Japan into an internal hedge fund unit within Goldman Sachs, and helped the investment team build out full investment and trading capabilities in Hong Kong.
Mariko holds a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Studies from Sophia University, Tokyo, Japan and is fluent in English and Japanese.
