James joined AIMA in 2019 from MetLife, a leading global financial services firm, where he managed regulatory relations and government affairs in the EMEA region. His responsibilities included supporting MetLife’s European legal restructuring project. Prior to this, he worked as a public affairs consultant in Brussels, advising clients on advocacy strategies, regulatory risk analysis and corporate profile raising. He holds BA (Hons) and LLB (Hons) degrees, and the CAIA Fundamentals of Alternative Investments Certificate and has completed the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme.
