Masashi Kataoka is Expert Executive Officer, Head of Alternative Investment Unit at Daiichi Life Group, Inc. with 18-year-experience in alternative investments. Prior to his current role, he had led various teams; hedge fund investment, PE fund investment, infrastructure fund investment and venture fund & direct investment team. He worked 4 years until 2014 at Dai-ichi Life’s NY office and led the manager selection / due diligence as well as strategic activities with US asset managers. He also has an experience working at an US based hedge fund as a trainee in 2007. Dai-ichi Life also focuses on venture investments, and he serves as METI’s J-Startup recommender. He earned Bachelor of Economics in Keio University.
1997年第一生命保険入社。特別勘定運用部、米国ヘッジファンドトレーニー、運用企画部等を経て、2010年よりNY現地法人にてオルタナティブ投資や運用会社との戦略提携業務に従事。2014年よりオルタナティブグループにて、ヘッジファンド、PEファンド、インフラファンド、ベンチャー投資の総括を経験。2022年よりオルタナティブ投資部長。18年間に渡りオルタナティブ投資を経験、ベンチャー直接投資やインパクト投資にも力を入れる。経済産業省J-Startupレコメンダー。慶應義塾大学経済学部卒
