Frédéric Pelèse

Frédéric Pelèse is deputy executive director of the Policy and International Affairs Directorate at the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF). The Directorate covers all areas of securities regulation including market intermediaries and infrastructures, asset management, transparency requirements for issuers as well as Fintechs and sustainable finance. Frédéric held several positions at AMF, first in the Corporate Finance Directorate where he was involved in controlling takeover bids and contributing to the development of French takeover law, and subsequently as deputy head in the Asset Management Regulation Division where he was closely involved in the French implementation of the AIFM Directive and the reform of money market funds. He spent three years as a seconded national expert at the European Commission, in the security markets unit of the Directorate‑General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union (DG FISMA). Prior to joining the AMF, he worked five years in the mergers and acquisitions advisory department of Crédit Agricole Indosuez in Paris. Frédéric holds an engineering degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris and is a graduate of the London School of Economics.
