General Manager, Velocity Technology
Colin is General Manager of Velocity Technology, a Hong Kong-based provider of managed IT, cybersecurity and IT staffing services. Founded in 1998, Velocity has teams in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. Colin leads the firm's operations and manages its governance and security practice. He works closely with asset managers and other regulated clients on Microsoft 365 security, compliance and operational due diligence.
Colin spent more than 30 years in financial services before joining Velocity. He has held various roles at Bank of Bermuda, HSBC and UBS, where he was Head of Fund Services Asia-Pacific. He then co-founded a Fintech business Veridate Financial Limited, focusing in Fund Administration and automated client onboarding and KYC. Having worked on both sides, as a fund industry operator and as a technology provider, he brings a practical, business-first view of cyber risk to the boardroom. Colin is based in Hong Kong.
