Kyle Downey is a 28-year veteran of application development with almost 20 years of experience on Wall Street at Goldman Sachs Firmwide Risk and Morgan Stanley IT, working in New York City, Shanghai and Hong Kong. He has over a decade of experience in architecting and building low-latency equity and equity derivatives trading systems in collaboration with traders & quants, and a proven track record of building and leading high-performing front office development teams. In his previous role as Managing Director at Morgan Stanley he was founder & head of their Automated Risk Trading department, which develops many of Morgan Stanley’s in-house algorithmic execution and market making systems; head of IT for the Quantitative Investment Strategies business; and architect for Morgan Stanley’s data science platform for quant research. He founded Cloudwall in November 2021 to offer asset managers institutional-grade portfolio risk management systems for digital assets.
