Head of Compliance, Japan Asia Pacific, BlueBay Asset Management
Michael is Head of Compliance for the Japan Asia Pacific region at BlueBay Asset Management, one of Europe`s largest mangers of fixed income across developed and emerging markets. He commenced his career in 1999 as an equities trader in Australia before entering the compliance field and relocating to London where he became a specialist in alternative investments. He has held roles at the responsible entity for the Bridgewater (Australia) hedge funds, U.S. multi-strategy hedge fund Deephaven Capital Management and at fund of hedge funds Financial Risk Management. Michael is based in Tokyo and holds a Bachelor of Business with a major in Economics and an extended major in Advanced Economic Analysis from the Queensland University of Technology in Australia.
