Richard joined AIMA in 2025 as a Director, Head of Private Credit Research. Prior to joining AIMA, he worked for Moody’s Investors Service for 18 years as a corporate credit analyst and as Group Credit Officer for EMEA within the Credit Strategy and Standards Group. Prior to that he held a number of credit roles in investment banking. He has covered a wide variety of corporate sectors and issuers, both investment and sub-investment grade, across multiple regions. In addition, he was the lead global banking analyst for sovereigns and sub-sovereigns (regional and municipal governments) and multilateral organisations. He has published extensive research on both individual issuers as well as on a large variety of thematic topics globally.
Richard has a Masters degree from the London School of Economics (Politics of the World Economy) and an Honours BA from the University of Toronto. He is fluent in French, German and Spanish, with an intermediate knowledge of Russian.
