Matthew Newbon is a Partner at Syscat Capital, responsible for business development and operations. SysCat has a focus on niche investment strategies and volatility in particular, using pattern recognition and systematic, statistical analysis to find convex and short-term trading opportunities in all asset classes.
Previously Matthew was COO of Dutch systematic, quant fund Independent View and has over 16 years’ experience in the investment and alternative asset management industry, having begun his career at UBS in 2005.
Matthew is a member of the AIMA Research Committee, has a Bachelor degree in Management Studies from the University of Leicester and a Masters in International Sport Management from the Johan Cruyff Institute in Amsterdam.
