Deputy CEO, Global Head of Government Affairs and Global Head of the Alternative Credit Council
Jiří joined AIMA in April 2010 and is Deputy CEO and Global Head of Government Affairs.
Prior to joining AIMA, he worked at the Czech securities market regulator and Czech Ministry of Finance where he led the financial services work during the first Czech Presidency of the European Council. Jiří also spent several years at the European Commission, working on the negotiation of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID) implementing measures and coordinating the Commission’s policy towards the Financial Stability Board and the G20.
While at AIMA, Jiří has led several successful advocacy campaigns and grown the Government and Regulatory Affairs team to be one of the largest globally. In 2016, he established and is Global Head of the Alternative Credit Council, an affiliate association of AIMA representing asset managers active in the private credit industry.
He studied international relations, economics and politics at Tufts University, London School of Economics and Sciences Po.
