Liu Tianran 刘天然 joined Vertex Ventures in 2017 as a partner. She has over 15 years of experience in equity investment and capital markets, having discovered outstanding projects like Edge Medical【02675.HK，Regor Therapeutics (asset acquired by Roche/Genentech), AnHeart Therapeutics (acquired by Nuvation Bio，NUVB), Recbio [02179.HK], Harbour Biomed [02142.HK] etc.
Before joining Vertex, she worked in capital markets at BNP Paribas and ING Group in London, Amsterdam and Hong Kong, respectively. Liu Tianran graduated from Utrecht University and holds an FMBA from Amsterdam Business School. She has received several honors, including being named among the "Top 25 Outstanding Female Investors of the 21st Century Economic Report," "Top 10 Best Pitchers in Digital Healthcare by Huxiu," and "F40 China's Young Investors by Qingke."
In addition to her professional achievements, Liu Tianran is also a national first-class chess player in China and has a talent for piano performance.
