Stephen Lukow

General Counsel, ExodusPoint Capital Management

Stephen has over 30 years of experience in in-house roles for banks and hedge funds.  For the past four years, he has been the Asian General Counsel for ExodusPoint Capital Management. His other buy side experience includes stints as Chief Operating Officer for hedge funds in Singapore and Hong Kong.

Stephen began his career in finance with Lehman Brother first as a Vice President in Tokyo, where he headed the Asian fixed income legal team and worked on distressed debt transactions during the Asian financial crises. He then relocated to Lehman New York where built a team that structured complex credit derivative products. Subsequent to this he was a Director at Bank of America in Hong Kong where he was responsible for the producing trading documentation in the region, including documentation for hedge funds.

Stephen began his career in law in the New York office of Mudge Rose Guthrie & Ferdon where he was a corporate associate specializing in the securities law and mergers and acquisitions. He then joined the Office of General Counsel of the Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington D.C., where he reviewed rule makings and enforcement actions under U.S. federal securities laws.

Stephen received his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1993 and his Bachelor degree from Brown University in 1986.
