Peter is a Partner at the Frankfurt office of PwC Germany. He is leading the Global (Fund) Structuring Tax Team in Germany.

Peter is a Master of Law (LL.M.) and certified German tax advisor. He has 18+ years of German tax experience within the Big Four and Magic Circle Law Firms.

He focuses on providing comprehensive German tax advice to major alternative asset managers active in the private equity (main focus), venture capital, debt, hedge and FoF sector.

This includes the structuring of new funds, continuations funds, NAV facilities, co-investment and carried interest schemes, mitigation of German permanent establishments as well as the review of all deals of a fund (globally) to determine and optimise German tax implications for the fund and it’s German investor (incl. carried interest holders). Further, he advises on its clients with regard to investment in Germany (including German targets investments and funds, German withholding taxes, etc.). In addition, he advises on all sponsor matters from a German tax perspective (including German sub-advisors, tied-agent structures, etc.). Further, his work includes the review of various legal documents from a German tax perspective (e.g. LPAs, adherence agreements, carried interest schemes, instruments) to ensure proper implementation of the intended structure as well as the investor onboarding to exclusively support the Sponsor (negotiations of side letters (GP friendly), support LP due diligence).

Over the last years, Peter structured numerous multi-billion EUR/USD funds for his clients and together with the PwC network.
