"Vin is the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Operational Due Diligence for Crypto Insights Group. He has over 20 years of experience managing, consulting on and improving the operations of asset management businesses. His prime responsibilities at CIG include overseeing the operational due diligence suite of services for CIG’s institutional allocator and investment manager clients, leading bespoke operational build-out projects for emerging and established crypto strategies, and being a thought leader in crypto operations and risk management.
Prior to CIG, Vin was the Head of Operational due diligence at Bitwise Asset Management Inc., a multi-billion dollar crypto asset manager, where he established Bitwise’s first active management product, built its operations, and assumed responsibility for counterparty risk management for the entire Bitwise business early in his tenure.
In addition, Vin has held management roles at Northern Trust, serving as Senior Vice President and creating their first operational risk management service line for institutional clients, led the operational risk team within Mercer’s Sentinel group, and was Head of Operational Due Diligence at Permal Group, sitting as a voting member of Permal’s investment and risk committees.
Vin’s career also includes senior positions and asset management experience at Barclays, JP Morgan, HSBC and Morgan Stanley. He has also spoken at events, and written many thought leadership pieces, through notable industry publications such as Bloomberg, the CFA Society, the Managed Futures Association, the Alternative Investment Management Association, iConnections and others.
Vin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from St. John’s University."
