Oleg Mogilny

Oleg Mogilny is Managing Director of Public Market Alternatives at Investment Management Corporation of Ontario. He heads IMCO’s investments in hedge fund strategies, insurance linked securities, royalties and other alternative strategies with an objective to deliver diversification and absolute returns.  Oleg has over 20 years of experience in managing multi-asset investment portfolios and leading investment teams.  Prior to joining IMCO in 2019, Oleg was the Head of the Quantitative Strategies and Research group at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan (OTPP). In this role he was responsible for multi-asset absolute return strategies, quantitative equity investing and investment-focused data science initiatives. Oleg’s other roles during his 16-year career at OTPP included equity portfolio strategy and managing overlay portfolios, thematic investing, research and implementation of tactical asset allocation strategies. Oleg holds an MBA from McGill University and a Master’s degree in Economics from Kyiv School of Economics. He is a CFA charterholder.
