Vanessa Hayes

Vanessa Hayes joined State Street in 2016, and has since relocated to Sydney, Australia in 2021 as a Portfolio Manager to expand Currency Management trading and servicing capacity in the APAC region. In this role, she provides oversight in currency portfolio management, execution, business development, as well as leading product development effort of currency hedging implementation and strategic initiatives to continuously mitigate risks for the APAC region. Prior to joining State Street, Vanessa worked at Geode Capital Management, a global asset manager originally set up by Fidelity Investments in Boston and Vanessa was responsible for technology integration for new funds, technology operations, data oversight, and was also involved in research initiatives. Currently Vanessa serves on the awards committee for Women in Banking and Finance and as a co-chair for the Profession Women Network at State Street Australia. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Bentley University, as well as a Master of Science degree in Information Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
