Manager, Operational Due Diligence Specialist, Innocap

As an Operational Due Diligence Specialist within the Risk and Data team, Max is responsible for operational due diligence ("ODD") activities across Innocap. Together with the broader due diligence team, Max oversees the assessment and the integration of new trading advisors and funds on the platform by ensuring that operational risk management is assessed, monitored and mitigated. Max strives to be a trusted advisor to asset owners and asset managers across the alternative investment industry.
 
Before joining Innocap in March 2022, Max spent 2 years at Trans-Canada Capital, a large asset manager based in Montreal, where he held the role of Senior Associate, Client Solutions. Prior to that, Max spent 6 years at Castle Hall, a due diligence consulting firm, where he held the role of Director. During his time at Castle Hall, Max conducted due diligence on over 250 funds, across a wide range of strategies, sizes, jurisdictions and investment complexity. 

Max has over 10 years of experience in the finance industry. He began his career at National Bank of Canada as an Operations Analyst within the Financial Markets Operations Group. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Université de Sherbrooke and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) charterholder. Max is also a member of the AIMA Canada Executive Committee, which provides important leadership on driving strategy, engagement and impact for the alternatives industry across Canada.
