Michael Garrow is the Chief Investment Officer and co-founder of HS Group, where he is Chairman of the Investment Committee. HS Group is the largest GP seeder based in Asia. Mr. Garrow has 24 years’ experience in finance, and he has been based in Asia over 20 years. He has extensive experience in GP seeding alternative managers and direct co-investments.
Prior to forming HS Group, Mr. Garrow led Blackstone’s Asian alternative fund program and invested on behalf of Blackstone Strategic Alliance Funds, seeding GPs in Asia, the US and Europe. He led Blackstone’s global emerging manager program and had primary responsibility for sourcing co-investment opportunities in Asia. Mr. Garrow started his career at Morgan Stanley in New York, and moved to its Asia Capital Markets team in 2002.
