Partner, Maples Group Dublin
Caitriona is a partner of the Funds & Investment Management team in the Maples Group’s Dublin office.
She advises on the establishment, operation and regulation of a wide spectrum of UCITS and AIFMD funds and other specialised fund products and advises a number of Japanese asset managers on the establishment of Irish unit trust structures.
Caitriona spent a number of years with the Group’s law firm in Hong Kong providing Irish funds solutions to the Asian client base of investment managers seeking to raise capital from European investors and speaking regularly at industry events regarding European fund products.
Caitriona’s alternatives client base covers a range of investment strategies including hedge, PE, credit, investment through s110 subsidiaries etc, with extensive experience in large managed account platforms. A number of the clients that Caitriona advises operate closed-ended and limited liquidity structures and Caitriona has extensive experience in that space as well as experience in loan-origination product establishment.
In addition, Caitriona deals with a substantial number of UCITS clients covering a wide range of strategies including algorithmic quantitative, debt/credit, liquid alts, UCITS utilising structured financial instruments, long only and long/short.
Caitriona also advises asset managers establishing Irish authorised AIFMs, UCITS and MiFID management companies.
Caitriona is a member of the Alternative Credit Technical Group of the Alternative Credit Council (an AIMA affiliate).
