Khalid is a Managing Director and Head of Portfolio Management at Aeon Investments.
He has over 25 years of experience in transaction structuring, portfolio management, investment analysis and quantitative modelling across a wide range of structured credit products. Prior to Aeon, Khalid spent 9 years as a Senior Credit Structurer in the Fixed Income Group at Federated Hermes International. He was responsible for managing structured credit portfolios, developing the multi-asset credit platform, and devising relative analysis tools. Previously, as a Principal at Pearl Diver Capital LLP, he was responsible for designing quantitative trading strategies and the proprietary portfolio management platform. At Deutsche Bank and Lehman Brothers, he structured 12 European CLOs.
At Aeon, Khalid has designed proprietary ESG scorecard for private debt and real estate debt strategy as full-lifecycle tool to evaluate deal on ESG metrics, set sustainability-related objectives and track progress against ESG KPIs. He has also authored a white paper on ESG in real estate lending focusing on ESG drivers and integration process.
Khalid holds a Masters in Financial Engineering from Haas School of Business at the University of California Berkeley, an MBA (major in Finance) from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
