Paolo Mara

Paolo Mara is Chief Legal Officer of Komainu, a regulated, institutional-grade digital assets custody service provider. In this role, Paolo heads Komainu’s global legal and regulatory strategy, advising the executive team on governance, risk management and compliance matters and he oversees legal operations and regulatory policy initiatives to support Komainu’s geographical and business expansion. Paolo joined Komainu from Goldman Sachs, where he was a Senior Counsel in the Investment Banking Legal team, focusing on equity capital markets, debt capital markets and mergers and acquisitions. Paolo began his legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom LLP, where he was based in the firm’s London office. Paolo is both a member of the New York Bar and a qualified solicitor in England and Wales.
