Regina Doherty is a Member of the European Parliament for Dublin with Fine Gael and the European Peoples Party, bringing extensive experience as a former Cabinet Minister, Leader of the Seanad and Government Chief Whip. She serves as Vice-Chair of the European Parliament’s Housing Committee, where she is advancing practical proposals to the European Commission to tackle the housing crisis. Regina is a strong advocate for safer online lives, ensuring children and citizens are protected from scams and digital threats. She also leads on strengthening Europe’s financial sector, working to ensure people have more money in their pockets and can benefit from the Savings and Investments Union. With her proven record in national government and her leadership in Europe, Regina Doherty is delivering results for Ireland and shaping EU policy for the future.

Regina sits on the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON), the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee (IMCO), the Subcommittee on Tax Matters (FISC), the Employment and Social Affairs Committee (EMPL), the Special committee on the Housing Crisis in the European Union (HOUS), and the Delegation for Relations with the Countries of South Asia (DASE).
