Co-Head of FinReg, aosphere
Jenny is Co-Head of FinReg at aosphere. She joined aosphere in 2013 in order to develop a product that summarises global cross-border distribution rules for asset managers. This product has evolved significantly since inception to cover new topic areas but also to make use of different technologies. It is now used by over 250 institutions globally and covers the rules in 85+ jurisdictions. Jenny’s area of expertise is steering clients through a changing regulatory landscape, finding new ways to track and interpret the impact of new legislation (e.g. the CBDF package and AIFMD 2) and navigating the nuances of jurisdiction-specific rules. Jenny also manages a sister product that covers the cross-border distribution rules relevant to banks/sell-side organisations.
As well as overseeing these existing products, Jenny is involved in developing new products focusing on related financial services topics. aosphere’s latest product, Rulefinder Crypto Assets, analyses the status and direction of travel of crypto asset regulation in a range of key jurisdictions. Also in development is a module looking at the issues that private credit managers need to consider when lending on a cross-border basis, including various creditor-rights topics.
Jenny joined aosphere having spent three years at UBS Investment Bank in their in-house prime brokerage legal team. Prior to that, she was an Associate in the investment funds practice at Allen & Overy in London. In that role she gained experience advising on fund establishments, investor negotiations and transfers of secondary fund interests as well as on broader regulatory matters. Prior to training as a lawyer, she worked as a trainee fund manager and equity analyst for Threadneedle Investments.
