Kathy Kwan is Head of APAC Events at AIMA, where she works closely with senior leadership to drive member engagement, industry connectivity, and strategic initiatives across the region. Her role includes event delivery, encompassing stakeholder engagement, content development, community building, and the cultivation of relationships across the alternative investment ecosystem, including fund managers, institutional investors, service providers, regulators, and industry partners.

With over 15 years of experience in financial services, Kathy is known for bringing together diverse market participants to facilitate meaningful dialogue, identify industry challenges, and deliver platforms that support knowledge sharing, business development, and industry advancement. She works closely with members to understand emerging trends, operational and regulatory developments, and evolving investor demands, translating these insights into impactful programmes and engagement strategies across APAC.

In addition to overseeing AIMA's regional engagement agenda and flagship initiatives, including the AIMA APAC Forum, Kathy leads the AIMA Hong Kong Young Professionals Group, a member of AIMA Hong Kong Development Committee as well as a founding member of AIMA APAC Talent & Culture Group 2026. She also serves as a committee member of 100 Women in Finance Hong Kong.

Prior to joining AIMA, Kathy was APAC Communications Manager at SWIFT, where she drove strategic communications and stakeholder engagement initiatives across the region. Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Kathy is Canadian Chinese and an active member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. She holds a degree in Commerce from Ryerson University and was previously awarded a dance scholarship by the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
