Director and Portfolio Manager, Authentic Asset Management
Christian Fournier is the Director and Portfolio Manager at Authentic Asset Management. He is the creator and manager of the Authentic Event Driven Fund L.P., a hedge fund strategy aims to capitalize on market inefficiencies and opportunities created by corporate events such as mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, and special situations. The fund also employs a macro risk management overlay to enhance its performance.
Prior to joining Authentic Asset Management, Mr. Fournier was a Managing Director at PSP Investments, one of the largest pension funds in Canada. He developed and managed several internal hedge fund strategies with varying objectives and risk profiles, such as Long-Short, M&A, Event-Driven, Global Macro and Value Protection Fund.
Mr. Fournier has also worked as a Vice-President at Casgrain&Cie and as a Strategist & Portfolio Manager for the Ministry of Finance of Quebec. He has a wealth of experience and expertise in finance, hedge funds strategies and investment management.
