Jon Freedman

Jon is Chief Technology Officer at Capricorn Fund Managers, with responsibility for technology strategy, delivery and operations across the organisation. His remit includes oversight of key technology initiatives, vendor management, and the development of the firm’s technology and AI roadmap in line with business and regulatory objectives. Jon has over 20 years’ experience in financial technology, having held senior roles at Brevan Howard, Point72 and Millennium. Most recently, he was Head of Risk, Middle and Back Office Technology at Brevan Howard, where he established and scaled the non-front-office technology function, including building global teams and expanding the firm’s international footprint. Previously, Jon was Co-Head of Quant Development for the Macro business at Point72, where he built and led a team supporting discretionary investment strategies. Earlier in his career at Millennium, he developed trading systems embedded within an investment team. Jon holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Computing from Imperial College London.
